Selfridges Duke Street Project, Phase 2

David Chipperfield designed Phase 2 Duke Street Project transforms the Ground Floor Accessories hall into the largest of its kind in the world, whilst creating a new link customer between the front and back of the store.

The provision of a new triple-height customer entrance on Duke Street will be fronted by semi-mature trees and bespoke public realm furniture, including a fountain and stone bench. New bronze shopfronts and secondary entrance to the SWOD building are enhanced by upper façade restoration, lead works and window treatment.

With a central Mayfair location site logistics, material distribution and health and safety play a large part in the construction methodology for the works, something which required a strong understanding of both the Client’s business and the locale.
