A fun and enjoyable evening was had by all at last night’s annual Building Quiz. Seventeen teams entered to try to steal the crown from last years winners, Lendlease. The alinea team made a flying start and looked like they were going to romp home to victory, posing a stewards inquiry over the integrity of the Quizmaster! But in the end the winners prize went to Wates, who beat Opera into the runner-up spot. The evening raised valuable funds for the worthy cause of CRASH.

This week, as part of alinea’s holistic approach to maintaining employee wellness, we’ve been focusing on financial wellbeing. We were delighted to host an informative Money Management Masterclass run by our Corporate Partner, Lionheart. This was an opportunity for people to obtain important information about personal financial planning and other monetary topics which may be generally overlooked. This interactive session, led by James Collins, an experienced financial advisor, covered subjects from good monthly budgeting, protecting your money, saving for the future and debt management. The Lunch and Learn session has enabled people to better understand how to manage their finances, savings and pensions in order to ensure a more stress-free financial future.

Today, we held our third annual Jeans for Genes event. We encouraged people to come to work wearing their best pair of jeans to raise awareness of the life-altering genetic disorders which affect half a million children in the UK. Donations to this worthy cause will be used to purchase vital equipment, train necessary staff, fund specialist nurses and provide invaluable family support sessions. @jeans_for_genes
