alinea sponsored Alex Yee showed showcased his Olympic credentials yesterday coasting to his first World Triathlon Championships Series win in Leeds in front of 4000 cheering fans. Alex lined up at the swim start alongside an highly experienced field which included both Brownlee brothers and held his own in the swim exiting into T1 mid pack. Following a 54:24 bike leg Alex entered the 4 lap 10km run leg hot on the heels of the leaders and soon took up his position at the front of the pack, easing away to dominate the run leg, pumping his fist and enjoying the cheers from the crowd on the final lap before crossing the line and taking the gold. Alex said after “It is the first time that I’ve seen so many people on the street, and it was just amazing to be able to deliver in front of all of them” Congratulations Alex from everyone at alinea.
