alinea at the RICS BIM Conference

On Thursday 25th February, alinea Associate and BIM Specialist Richard Bates will be attending the RICS BIM Conference, which is focused on ‘Realising the Benefits of BIM’.

Timed to coincide with the Government’s 2016 BIM level two deadline, the conference intends to see the conversation shift from the theory and policy around BIM, to the reality of using it in practice. Now in its fifth year, RICS BIM Conference provides invaluable insight into projects where BIM is already being implemented, giving you the ability to learn from those leading the way in the BIM arena. With an expert speaker-line up and sessions based on live case studies of BIM implementation, the conference will seek to separate the myth from reality and give delegates invaluable insight into the practicalities of adoption.

This includes what to expect in terms of challenges and ROI, and exploration of the culture change necessary to ensure all potential benefits are realised.

Key speakers include:

  • Dr David Hancock, Head of Construction, UK Government Construction Team
  • David Philp, Director BIM – EMEA, AECOM and Head of BIM, UK BIM Taskgroup
  • Malcolm Taylor, Head of Technical Information, Crossrail
  • Brendan Patchell. BIM Strategy Manager, Morgan Sindall Professional Services
