On Thursday, Steve Mudie attended the Schüco Excellence Awards ceremony and lunch, in association with Architecture Today, at The Banqueting Hall, Whitehall, hosted by Charlie Luxton. Steve was one of the Judges, having had the privilege of being invited back for this, his eighth year.
Covid restrictions meant that last year’s event was judged and presented remotely, which made this year’s event even more enjoyable.
An Architecture Today specific supplement for the Schüco Excellence Awards was issued after the event and to the readership of Architecture Today, providing details of all winning entries in their categories, including Architect and Specialist Façade Contractor. The awards included a ‘best of the best’ and specialist contractor, where Steve was very much the reference point.
The other judges for the Schüco Excellence Awards were; Hazel Joseph (AHMM), Carol Patterson (OMA), Daniel Mulligan (Glenn Howells) Ingrid Petit (Fielden Fowles), Harry Montressor (Montressor Partnership) and Innes Johnson (Max Fordham).
