This week, members of the alinea team have been using some of their annual volunteering days to visit our current charity partner, St Clare Hospice. They had a great time helping the e-commerce team research and list donated items for sale on ebay to raise much-needed funds. There was also some healthy competition…well done to Eric and Max on their excellent online shopping skills!
St Clare Hospice cares for hundreds of people every year, offering free, compassionate care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. They offer a wide range of services, providing physical, social, emotional, psychological and spiritual support, ensuring they respect and encourage individuality, dignity and self-esteem.
Did you know?
Every £18 raised means a family member could receive an hour of counselling to help them come to terms with their grief.
Every £41 raised through events and their retail shops will fund a Clinical Nurse Specialist to support a family both at home and on the phone, with specialist advice to help ease their emotional and physical distress.

Thank you again to all of the team at St Clare’s who welcomed us for the day and hosted us in the fantastic new community centre room. We had a lovely time getting to meet people from a range of departments and hearing about the different events taking place, from woodworking to arts and crafts sessions. An especially big thank you to Derek and Terry for showing us all of their ebay tips and tricks! We would encourage anyone else to get in touch either as an individual or in a wider work group, to offer their support – it was a very enjoyable day and all for a great cause.
