The project, in Aldgate, comprises a 384-room hotel, a 200,000 ft2 office building and a 91-unit residential building, all serviced via a shared basement service yard. Notable complexities arising from the location of the site include working in and around the LUL underground, TFL bus depot and the nearby Guinness Trust Estate.
The three buildings are connected above ground via a shared open square, which encourages the movement of pedestrian traffic around and through the site.
